I am so excited, I can't handle myself :)))
Now. Catch back your breath, Soph!
I started a new little project on my Georgian blog called "ladies' room" - all right, it has nothing to do with bathrooms, but if you really think about it, it might. It is very widespread thing that women love going to bathroom together, you know, to refresh their make up, to smoke (if it's allowed), to cry their heart out about ***holes, they've been in love with forever and they don't even notice; to snub others's outfit or hair, just sit there and tear the toilet paper listening to their friends' complain and etc.
Thus, this project was opened yesterday and now it's getting better and better. Lady bloggers will write about their experiences, hobbies or about their love affairs, family issues and anything they wish.
How it went: I've been blogging there since 2008. I read many English-speaking women blogs, which are great, inspiring and so empowering too. There are sort of women blogger communities who support each other, blog about similar issues, promote each other and just leave their nice comments to cheer one another -- which I find so noble and necessary (we always need some positive or critical feed back). So I thought Georgian women bloggers should also unite and make projects like this -- blog more, comment more and have fun too obviously.
Then I also realised that Georgian blogging needed some renewal, some re-branding, let me put this way, some lighting up, and I should've been the one to bring those lovely ladies together and ask them to make a post or two for my project.
I didn't expect I would get such positive responds back and SUCH personal posts, letters confiding and trusting in me, for which I am above than just thankful.
THANK YOU!!!
No need to say that Georgia is one of the warmest, loveliest and dearest country in the world, where people might be crazy sometimes, but most of the times they are openhearted, kind and always ready to help you.
So, visit beautiful Georgia of mine, enjoy the miraculous nature and read more of me.
Have a lovely week everyone!

I capture the castle

The movie I've recently seen is this British drama "I capture the castle" with Romola Garai and Rose Byrne in it. Natalia recommended it to me for she knows how much I adore Romola. But I should say that in this case I liked Rose Byrne more. I think it is one of her good roles and she fits so well into this shallow and silly character of Rose Mortmain. Romola was less sympathetic in this movie probably because she played teenage girl even though she has always looked much older, and is indeed more matured than her older sister. I also did not click to Henry Thomas - who will always remain the "E.T" sweet boy. He looks like an old youngster which is kind of scary.

I loved Bill Nighy though. He is something and Britain should be proud of him. He's got very fascinating, extraordinary character which makes everyone watch his movies.
Still movie was worth to see for beautiful green scenery, Romola's inspiring radio voice, redhead Rose Byrne, their crazy stepmother and music which makes it easier in the end.

Hands and whiskey

I think I'm going crazy. I need to step back and slap myself, you know what I mean? I should stop thinking.
I'm still sick. I've been sick forever I guess. Cold. Sore throat. Sore nose. Sor-e-ority.
Oh, I have a new character for my novel - a tall guy with long hands walking down my street and rocking his hands to and fro. Seriously. I wish I could jump out the window and have whiskey with him in the leftist bar around the corner. I am not quite sure (and never will be probably) whether he is red or not, but I like his hands. I love hands.
I told you I am going crazy.

Look at me! Ginger!

I should tell you how I love Geri Halliwell. If you don't know who she is, which I doubt very much, I shall inform you that she has been the true girl power member of the British girl band "Spice Girls".

She was 24 or 25 when got in Spice Girls and became the main figure of the band. Geri was the one to claim group's GIRL POWER image. She had this low and harsh voice which made her stand out the crowd. She is bold, crazy, funny and never afraid to be embarrassed. I appreciate her latter character. Good luck, Geri, you'll always be ginger in my heart :)

Dearest Drew
I've been fond of Drew Barrymore since I remember myself. I've been watching her movies all my life, collecting her photos and admiring her character really. She has been through so much - hard adolescence, conflict with parents, crazy boyfriends and husbands, David Letterman shows and etc.
Despite everything Drew has become one of the successful actresses, producers, and even directors in Hollywood. There may be lots of starlets playing in romantic comedies, but Drew has something that absolutely distinguishes her from other beautiful Hollywood women. She is crazy, funny, risky and is never afraid to get embarrassed as she once has said.
It was time for her to get an award.
And here it is.
Drew got the golden globe for performing little Edie Bouvier in "Grey gardens". I saw this movie some weeks ago and got really surprised by Drew. She seemed to have taken this role very seriously and it was nothing like she had played before. I admire her more after seeing her in the movie about Bouvier mother and daughter.

Well-deserved Golden Globe - January 2010
Drew is 10 years senior than me.
Some people say I look like her.
Thank G-d I did not have life like hers, but mine hasn't been easier though. I hope that in 10 years I'll have got my own golden globe.

Not me
Sometimes I do such a crazy things I can't recognize myself.
Like I talk to someone online and I know I should not be 'cos it doesn't make sense. But the problem is that this senselessness attracts me and I become 'me'. Kind of creep, you know, or you don't :P
Today I happened to see Radiohead's 'Creep' and remembered the winter of 2005. What a crazy winter it was, man! I just can't forget. I had so much fun and pain at the same time. I don't know whether I'm grateful or not now, but I think it might not be right but it was ok. I've learnt a lot. Dreams may harm one's mentality, but inspire for poetry and etc.
I love creep.
I love the feeling of it. Of creepyness, of hidden creepyness inside bright sunny smile and fair hair, like that of Thom Yorke's ;)
