Night Radio Voice

I have a new favourite actress - Romola Garai. I've always liked her, but in this movie "Glorious 39" she was wonderful. Even though the end of the movie was quite unfit. It's a quiet British movie with good actors in it: Bill Nighy, Julie Christie, Jeremy Northam (my old love). I don't know whether director or script writer went wrong because I was expecting more action, more reality and suddenly movie was over. But I have to admit that costumes were perfect, nature was beautiful (that's G-d) and actors played quite all right.

Romola - she has this big blue (or grey) eyes looking into the camera and making you feel like you've known her forever. Also her low voice is very charming and it's one of the best parts when she reads books for her father. Listening to her I once more missed radio. She has typical night radio voice for intellectuals if you know what I mean.

To resume, British movies have some kind of charm that no other movies have. I love French movies, but still can't compare with English ones. There's something about their accent and the way they talk, walk, smile, cry... I just love it.

Here is the link of "Glorious 39" for Georgian readers.

Oh, and she reads

Oh, dearest Marilyn, I know no more who you really were. There are lots of photos with you reading books, sitting thoughtfully and smiling sadly. Who were you anyway - was it just for business to make you blond bimbo and suddenly reveal that you were intelligent ginger girl? Maybe you weren't intelligent at all? I'm just too confused with this Hollywood drama, marketing stuff :/ it's so depressing. Oh, now I know who you were :)

Follow your dreams

by Victoria Usova

You know how I define great people? By the way they treat other people. I have heard that beside great ones you feel as great too, but beside low people you feel low and depressed because they make you feel like nothing.

So I've always been striving to be with great people and learn life lessons from them. What I learned is that: you should love your fellow, you should love people and never hurt anyone's feelings.

  • Do you remember my sweet Rebetzin Roberg? Well, she told us to keep dreaming because they DO come true.
  • Then Rabbi Spinner advised us to set a goal every year and work on its achievement.

I dream and have goals. Most of my dreams have come true as you know: I live with my people and have wonderful time, I've been to Venice - my dream place... plus I had set a goal to learn Rashi letters by the end of this semester. So I did.

I'm following my dreams.

Free as a bird

I quit my Georgian blog couple of days ago. No explanations - those people who know me and who have read Salinger's "Franny and Zooey" will understand me anyway. I was putting too much pressure on myself and had forgotten my motto: to be free as a bird.

I don't need SUNNY WORLD to make me feel completely Sunny, I don't need many comments to feel honored; I don't need anything but to feel G-d's presence wherever I go and whatever I do. I have so many friends, teachers, Midrasha :) and inspiring celebrity soul sister Drew Barrymore. BH!

I'm just too happy to blog

World of beauty

World is going crazy with football. Even I hesitated for a second before huge TV in the street when Slovakia won over Italy. I hate mass sports, but when I look at those people sitting outside in cafes I like it - they seem happy.

Wimbledon is also on, but Football World Cup absolutely upstaged it and there are only couple of us remembering tennis.

It's been a long and interesting week - learning Chumash with Rashi's commentaries every morning with Leah, then other lessons, dinners, another lessons, work, sleep, internet.

Yesterday I met my friend Naomi, we walked a bit, then sat in a park and had a nice conversation. It's unbelievable how people need to talk, laugh and just be together sometimes. Everytime I have nice time with my friends, I thank G-d for that because that's exactly what one needs in our times when people are rushing to and fro forgetting about world's beauty, about life outside internet and etc. I guess only now I understand why G-d created man by His image - even though we are sure of His existence, we still need and long to talk to somebody, to listen to other person and just feel that we're not alone. It's wonderful, isn't it?

Yesterday night I went to the Smiths' as usual and helped rebetzin. When I held her baby boy and looked into his eyes, I felt so good and my first thought was: those people who believe in evolution and Darwin's theory must be stupid - how can anyone believe in nonsense like that? Only G-d could create a man, and a woman, and a baby by His image because they are beautiful.

Have a wonderful week end!

Free spirit from Above

I found this Italian song about Che Guevara in my old music file. I liked it so much that wanted to share it with you. So I uploaded it on youtube with Ernesto CHE's picture (my favourite one actually) and hope you'll enjoy. Remember - freedom is in our head and it's a state of mind. No-one can take away the free spirit all of us have got from Above :)

BEE

What kind of bee is this? =)) It's rather a fly than bee. I found this funny blog with extraordinary pictures and now can't wait to share them with you.
